Children and Youth Partnership for Dare County is currently looking for volunteers in the following areas:

WINGS:

WINGS is a preschool literacy program for children ages 3-6. WINGS is a systematic program that teaches through play. WINGS volunteers will be trained to work one on one with preschoolers. WINGS volunteers can work as little as 1 day a week for 1 hour. We are currently seeking Volunteers for the 2007- 2008 school year. Volunteer Support Parents Needed!

Children & Youth Partnership for Dare County / Family Support Network of Northeastern NC is seeking parents with children who have special needs to become volunteer support parents. Family Support Network offers one-to-one emotional and informational support to parents of children who have a disability, chronic illness, or other special healthcare needs by a trained support parent who has had similar family and disability experiences. Support parents are periodically matched with families whose children recently diagnosed for a series of informal contacts.
