ASEP offers after school child care for Dare County School students in kindergarten through fifth grade. With free time and socialization included, it is the goal of ASEP to provide creative opportunities, physical activities, homework supervision, healthy snacks, and tutoring time in a familiar environment, the students' elementary school. ASEP operates at the following locations:

The 4-H SACC school year program operates when school is not in session for multi-day school holidays, (except legal holidays). It provides ‘wrap around child care' on days that the After School Enrichment Program, operated by the Board of Education, is not in operation. This program offers crafts, games, enrichment activities, and healthy snacks.
Eligibility: Program is offered to all elementary age youth.

Registrations are now being accepted for the 4-H 3-2-6 which is an out-of-school program for 6th – 8th grade students from Manteo and First Flight Middle Schools. The program operates from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm Monday-Friday. We are located in Manteo at the Dare County Youth Center on Roanoke Island, 200 Ananias Dare Street and the Dare County Youth Center, North Beach Division at Family Recreation Park, 602 Mustian Street, Kill Devil Hills. Our programs are located in the Dare County Youth Centers and are a separate entity staffed by 4-H; a program of the Dare County center of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension. The 4-H 326 program provides on-site supervision, an afternoon snack, and homework assistance. We also offer 4-H curriculum, local resources, volunteers, and imagination to create a fun and safe environment. For more information contact us at 473-4290 or registration forms may be picked up at the Cooperative Extension located on 517 Budleigh Street in Manteo, the Youth Center on Roanoke Island, the Family Recreation Park, and at both Manteo and First Flight Middle Schools.
Eligibility: Serves 6th - 8th grade students from Manteo Middle School and First Flight Middle School.
Fees: Rates begin at $25.00 per week for families with one child in the program; $40.00 for two children and $55.00 for three. There is a one time registration fee of $10.00 per student.
