America United is an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for Latinos in Dare County, and helping them become recognized as valued members of the community. During office hours community members may call or visit the office, where staff will provide information about community resources that are available and how to use them. Some of the services available are translation, interpretations, access to the internet, comouter classes, and information about education, driving, how to enroll children in school, health care and employment.

C&YP's Family Support Services serves as a clearinghouse of information and services available to Dare County's children, youth, and their families.

C&YP'S Family Resource Guide is available to assist parents locating services available in our county. Pick up your free copy at any Dare County Library Branch, Chamber of Commerce, or at Children & Youth Partnership's office.

Dare Literacy Council is a central source of information for literacy programs for both children and adults throughout the county. The Council matches students with tutors who are trained to provide confidential and individualized instruction. The programs are designed to improve or develop reading and language skills.

Eligibility: Open to individuals of all ages wishing to improve their literacy skills or English ability.
